Statement Piece is a Denver-based design studio founded by Rory LaMendola, former software engineer turned designer. Surrounded by New York’s incredible design but with zero room to create, Rory headed for Colorado. The first purchase for her new home? A table saw.

Since then, she's built countless things for her home that she shares with her designer wife—from custom kitchen cabinets, built-ins, countertops, tables, chairs, and lamps to one very large couch, and even a pink porcelain sink. After transforming her own house with statement pieces, she began offering custom furniture and home goods to a wider audience.
